PRELUDES AND PREMIERE
A Jacobs Masterworks Concert

Sameer Patel, conductor
Anne Akiko Meyers, violin

LISZT: Les Préludes
Adam SCHOENBERG: Violin Concerto (World Premiere)
SIBELIUS: Symphony No. 5

San Diego Symphony Associate Conductor Sameer Patel makes his Jacobs Masterworks debut. The program concludes with Jean Sibelius’ hopeful, life-affirming Symphony No. 5, composed as Europe was recovering from the First World War.
