The Washington Chamber Orchestra opens its season with Israeli-American cellist Amit Peled, performing Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C major, one of the most popular cello concertos now, but was presumed lost until 1961. Bruch’s Kol Nidrei, the work based on two Jewish themes, will also be performed. Peled is a marvel to hear, and he plays Pablo Casals’ cello!
